our morning segment went well for the most part. once the sun came up over the trees, things began to steam up quickly. since i run the second segment, i didn't have it too bad. but my asthma kicked in for some reason... so i ended up having to take some breaks just to keep it under contol. next time i'll use my puff before i start.
really heated up for the later segments... 101 on the bank temp sign we passed.
after gassing up, we headed to the park overlooking the river for some good food and a bit of a snooze. one of the pop-outs wouldn't pop back in... so we had to empty it and divvy up their team. daren epley joined our group... and it's been great getting to know him a bit. several years ago he got a signed jim thome ball for ian. we didn't know him, but daren's a friend with the people beth and the kids are staying with while i run. anyway... seems like a good guy.
they just now got the rv fixed, so it will catch up soon. it started raining & lightning... so we waited for the storm to pass. but we'll have to double up on the segments in order to catch up. Sent wirelessly via BlackBerry from T-Mobile.
