regarding those tests i had on tuesday...
everything went smoothly for the most part. they had me scheduled pretty tight... so not much waiting.
only real glitch came with the various needle pokes. since they've removed the lymph nodes from my right arm... which happens to be where all my juicy, easy to spot veins are... now they'll only use my left arm... where my veins prefer to play hide and seek.
so... maybe could i ask you to pray for succulent, extrovert left arm veins?
one of the scans revealed a nodule on my thyroid that will have to be biopsied before i can begin treatment. but they were quick to inform me that it is highly unlikely to be cancerous and even more unlikely to be melanoma.
we've heard that before...
but a little research on the net tells me a majority of men my age have a nodule on their thyroid and that 95% are not cancerous.
still... since our family has a way of beating the odds on most things... your prayers would be appreciated.
they're trying to schedule the biopsy for the coming week... however if they are unable to do so... it will push my treatment back a bit. monday i should hear when it will be scheduled... and by tuesday morning i'll know which arm/group i'm in for the clinical study.
i'm asking G*D to place me in the group that will give me the treatment that is best for my reality.
Hey Randy,
Just wanted to say, I so appreciate the open, honest, sharing of your thoughts.
All I have to humbly offer is this:
God knows exactly what did, what is, and what will happen. Nothing gets by Him, He holds us in the palm of His hand forever, we cannot escape.
"Do not grieve, for the Joy of the Lord is your strength" Nehemiah 8:10
Joy is not happiness. It is a 'springing forth from within', 'knowing', trust that no matter what - God is my God.
Thanks for letting us see your exhibition of joy in your journey.
Love and prayers,
Terry

So I prayed for succulent left arm veins. Then suddenly wondered if that is what it would be like to be a Christian vampire....
